I’m not saying we should arm them. No, far from it. More in line of sending them ahead of the “real” troops to check for booby traps, mines, ect., ect. You know, putting the inmates in harm’s way before any of our boys. We wouldn’t be arming them with weapons or any vital intelligence, in case they were planning on going over to the other side. I’d shoot them up with a poison that will kill them if they don’t return to base in a certain time. Guinea pigs. They’d be our boys’ guinea pigs. If they refuse to go to war than they’d be executed as soon as possible. No more delays, stays, ect., ect. Nothing! Say no to the war, say goodbye then! Please, don’t even bring up the cruel and unusual punishment BS to me. I’m sorry but if you rape, murder, kill, an innocent person, guess what? You deserve to die A.S.A.P. How the hell do you reform a death row inmate? Hello! They’re on DEATH ROW already! (Jesus.) Also it would eliminate tax dollars from feeding, clothing and housing these inmates. I guess the downside of it would be that a lot of folks would lose their jobs. I’d say keep Death Row prisons functioning with the older inmates. The ones that wouldn’t be able to run, walk, crawl. Resend the Death Row inmates who get injured while in the Service back to the Death Row prison. Doing that folks would be able to keep their jobs.
Just spit-balling here in Ca. This idea came to me ever since Arnold S. proposed taking millions/billions/trillions away from our Fire/Police, Hospitals, Schools, Medical Aid, ect., ect.
He’s already issued I.O.U.’s to folks here. Did you know that inmates on Death Row have a better heath plan than me or you. Some folks don’t have ANY AT ALL! They eat better than some of us. When’s the last time you went a week with having meat for dinner? The inmates get meat, please save the jokes for another time, 7-days-a-week! These people have raped, murdered innocent people yet they live like pampered babies inside with clean clothes, food, housing, and medicine at the ready. Something’s really wrong here when you see a man/woman/child begging for food, a warm blanket and/or medical attention while these animals are living it up. Boy, really makes you think.

I think more of our troops than to have them rely on those considered ‘expendable’.
I agree the situation in Ca sucks, because the govt won’t cut insane expenditures they consider PC and would rather cuts schools and issue IOUs to taxpayers.
But I’d rather legalize weed and let those convicted out. Oh, and recall just about everyone in Sacramento. We could save on all of their salaries and I don’t see that they are doing anything positive, to begin with.

The little luxuries that other inmates actually prefer to abolish the death penalty because the little luxuries that other inmates dont deserve any type of honor in fact they need to abolish the death row inmates do not get and then there are some innocent people on death row inmates do.

Your idea isn’t that original it was made into a movie back in 1967, called the Dirty Dozen, starring Lee Marvin and a host of notable actors as well. It spawned three TV movies and even a short lived series in the late 80’s.
In a war like World War II, Korea and even Vietnam with North Vietnam off limits to Invasion. Dropping Death row inmates deep behind enemy lines with a satchel of high explosives and a disassembled rifle, would waste the enemy’s time trying to round these criminals up and letting them be their problem. However in the current war on terrorism with no real battle lines drawn. This wouldn’t work near as well and only serve to bit us in the rear.
