does anybodyhow to access prison inmate directories or find a friend in jail if you dont know their last name?

I do Prison Ministry for girls ages 13 - 25 and they are all Felons. Their stories are unbelieveable. My childhood ****** but I would not want to walk a minute in their shoes. As our society decays, do you have any tidbits of wisdom that you can offer to these girls? They are seeking. They want change. Most of them don’t know the Lord. Most of them don’t trust anyone, not even themselves. How can I expect them to trust the Lord? These girls Parole every month out into our popluation. With no direction. Little or no support, hopeless. What can be done? Thoughts?

How are inmates in a prison considered in the census count?

Every few years the population is counted with a census. I was wondering where prison inmates come into this count. Are they counted as citizens in the city in which they are serving their prison term, or are they considered residents of the city in which their primary address is at?
